The site is currently being updated and made much more suitable for an ever increasing internet aware society. We are hopefully contributing to that awareness with the work we deliver around computers and internet use particularly with the parts of the community that traditionally do not. The group along with Nelson and Colne College, Lancashire Adult Learning and our own in house resources offer formal tuition for beginners and beyond and less formal tuition and support during drop in sessions.

Thursby Garden CAG is managed entirely by volunteers. The Group encourage and promote local people to take an active part in managing the centre and play a part in deciding the level and diversity of its delivery of service. Several of the team have long term chronic illnesses but nevertheless devote their time when able to the group. They benefit immensely from their contributions; it removes the stigma of receiving benefits for nothing and provides a lot of self worth knowing that your efforts are helping individuals and community to progress in a positive way.
